Online wine retailer chooses Flow to integrate Magento to Exo

With a reputation of offering superior service and better wine deals than you'll find anywhere else, Advintage are a large and trusted wine retailer, delivering thousands of cases of wine per month to customers.


Advintage needed to ensure that orders were being received and dispatched efficiently so Flow was engaged to help create an integrated platform for managing data flows between Magento eCommerce and MYOB Exonet.  The integration means that Advintage have end to end business automation both internally, and with their customers.


Advintage sell their products via their Magento website and manage their stock, accounting, and shipping in MYOB Exo.  The integration manages the data flows between these two business critical systems.  Magento data is accessed via API, and the EXO data is accessed directly via the database.


When customers purchase via Magento, the integration automatically creates a sales order for the purchase in EXO meaning no re-keying of the order is necessary.  The sales order also prompts a stock adjustment to be made in EXO with the 'Stock On Hand' updated in Magento so that both systems have up to date product stock availability and details.


Once payment has been received, the integration updates EXO accordingly and the order shipment and tracking details are sent back to Magento so that customers can access them and see where their goods are.


Customer relationship management is key to Advintage and they wanted their customers to be able to update their own information via the Magento website.  The integration supports this via a one way process so that EXO is updated with data changed by the customer at the Magento end.


With a streamlined integration in place, Advintage staff now manage just error's instead of all data.  Flow exception handling capability means that any failed processes are emailed immediately to Advintage staff to be dealt with.
